Firefighters' Memorial Day

I was pleased to join local forces to mark Firefighters’ Memorial Day to commemorate the bravery and sacrifice of those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Local Elections 2019

For the first time since its creation in 1996, the Conservatives have taken control of North East Lincolnshire Council after receiving the backing of 48% of voters in this years local elections.

Suggitt's Lane Level Crossing Meeting

Yesterday I had a constructive meeting with four representatives of Network Rail, the Rail Minister, Andrew Jones, and an official from the Department for Transport to discuss the closure of Suggitt's Lane level crossing.

My views on the Brexit options

As I have been a Brexiteer for over 40 years, I sincerely regret that we did not leave the European Union on Friday 29th March. The Government promised the British people that we would leave the EU within two years of triggering Article 50, as is outlined in international law.

Suggitt's Lane Petition

Today I handed over to the Rail Minister, Andrew Jones MP, a petition signed by over 4,000 local residents objecting to the closure of Suggitt's Lane level crossing by Network Rail. Thank you to DN35 Crime Watch for all of their efforts in collecting signatures.

Supporting National B&B Day

To celebrate National B&B day, I joined Sarah Jane Watson, owner of Cleethorpes Lettings, who owns 6 properties and manages 21 in the area. Sarah's B&Bs are all to a high specification and are let primarily to holiday makers but also to contract workers who work in the offshore wind farm
