Strengthening ties between UK and Albanian parlaiments

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Albanian MP, Rudina Hajdari (Democratic Party) in my capacity as Vice-Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Albania.

Also at the meeting was John Whittingdale MP who led the latest delegation of UK parliamentarians to Albania.

Cleethorpes Station Clock Tower Returns

The clock tower is back in place at Cleethorpes station following a short absence for restoration.  

It is currently still covered up but this protection will be removed over the Easter weekend.

More Government support for local schools

I am delighted that the Department for Education has announced the outcome of the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) 2018 to 2019.

Following their assessment, the Department has announced £514 million to cover 1,556 projects at 1,299 academies and sixth-form colleges across the country.

Unite for Parkinson’s

Martin has pledged to help improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s on World Parkinson’s Day (Wednesday 11 April).  

National B&B Day 2018

It was a pleasure to visit local B&Bs including The Burlington Hotel, Cleethorpes and Croxton House, Ulceby on National B&B Day 2018.

There are some 25,000 B&Bs and guest houses across the UK, with a combined direct turnover well in excess of £2 billion.

A180 Concrete Surface to be Replaced

The concrete surface on the A180 is finally going to be replaced by a surface which will be more comfortable to drive on and less disruptive to nearby residents.

Martin pledges to speak up for older people

Martin met with older people from across the country at an event in Parliament organised by the charity Age UK.  

The Age Champions event was the charity’s annual summer reception and highlighted the challenges of an ageing population and opportunities in later life.
