Martin is supporting the charity Box Power's campaign on hospice funding.

As part of this campaign, Martin joined representatives of Box Power, along with a cross-party group of MPs, for a group photo outside Number 10 Downing Street.

Corin Dalby, the Chief Executive Officer at Box Power, thanked Martin for joining the campaign, “ Box Power would like to thank you for taking the time to add your name to our hospice funding campaign and with our cross-party support, we will endeavour to pursue this until we are successful.

"Your single act of kindness on behalf of your constituents and your local hospice, when you didn’t need to is fantastic to see and they should all be proud of you. In the end and with your support, we managed to take the support of 90 fabulous cross-party MP’s to number 10 Downing Street and we have made it clear, that should the Prime Minister refuse to accept 90 as showing enough, we will be back in January 2025 with 100 more, as failure for the 300,000 who need their hospice including those within your own constituency, is simply not an option.”
