Martin visited the Make UK National Apprenticeship Week drop-in in Parliament this week, to meet with several award-winning apprentices. The event was an opportunity to discuss their training and the current challenges facing the manufacturing industry. Following the visit, Martin was invited to become a Make UK Manufacturing Champion to help improve the link between manufacturers and Parliament.
Martin Vickers MP said: "It was wonderful to meet the apprentices and hear about their hard work in the manufacturing sector. Apprenticeships are significant to our local economy and provide excellent career paths for young people. I am pleased to become a Manufacturing Champion to help represent our local businesses, and apprentices, in Parliament and support future growth and skills."
