Earlier today, Martin attended an event in Parliament, hosted by Lilly UK, which focused on ensuring that the National Cancer Plan delivers for people living with cancer.
The Government’s National Cancer Plan, expected to be published in the autumn, is a vital opportunity to deliver improvements in experience and outcomes for people living with cancer. Alongside the upcoming 10-Year Health Plan and NHS reform, it will shape the priorities of cancer policy in the UK over the coming years.
Lily UK's event brought together key stakeholders from across the cancer community and Parliamentarians. Martin heard recommendations from representatives of Lilly UK and Cancer Research UK on key priorities for the Plan to ensure it delivers for people living with cancer, and about ongoing work being done with NHS systems in support of this.
